Module #3 - Employer and Community Partner Engagement in Work-Integrated Learning

PLEASE NOTE: Module #1, Foundations of Work-Integrated Learning, is a pre-requisite for enrolling in Module #2

 

Module #3 in our practitioner certification training focuses on partnerships with employers and community partners in work-integrated learning. It will cover topics such as strategies to ethically engage employers, host organizations, and community partners before, during, and after WIL; supporting EDIA in partner engagement; and more.

This asynchronous training includes text, short videos, case studies, research excerpts, annotated bibliographies, and other resources to delve into this important topic. There are also opportunities to engage with the course facilitator and other learners in the course.

CEWIL Canada WIL Practitioner Module Deferral and Refund Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2024

Deferral Process:

  • Individuals may request a one-time deferral for a course, subject to approval; Subsequent deferral requests for the same course will not be accepted.
  • Deferral requests must be submitted at least 30 days before the course is scheduled to end.
  • Exceptions may be granted for medical emergencies or unforeseen events with supporting documentation.

Deferral Fee:

  • A deferral fee of $75 will be applied for approved deferral requests.
  • The deferral fee must be paid before being added to the next cohort.

Refunds: 

  • Individuals may withdraw from the course with a 100% refund up to the end of the second week the course starts. After this date, no refunds will be issued
  • Individuals may defer once, or transfer their registration to another individual.
  • Exceptions may be granted for medical emergencies or unforeseen events with supporting documentation.

CEWIL Canada reserves the right to deny deferral requests not adhering to the guidelines. This policy will undergo periodic review, and amendments may be made as necessary.
