David Evan Harris, Chancellor’s Public Scholar at UC Berkeley and Senior Policy Advisor at the California Initiative for Technology and Democracy, brings deep expertise in AI governance, policy design, and responsible innovation. Drawing on his leadership in drafting the California AI Transparency Act of 2025 and his experience advising organizations such as the Brennan Center for Justice, this session will examine why AI provenance matters and how WIL practitioners can prepare the next generation of talent for an AI-influenced civic and professional landscape.
