CEWIL Canada is pleased to announce the Quality WIL Certification (QWIL) program. This initiative invites WIL programs across Canada to reflect on how their program’s design, policies, and processes contribute to fostering quality WIL experiences. The dimensions of quality to be explored through this program will consider partner contributions in areas such as partnership development, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility and anti-racism practices, and pedagogical elements.
The program is currently in the pilot phase. Our intention in this pilot program is to design a community-rooted approach of reciprocal learning, relationship-building, and co-creation with WIL program administrators from diverse regions, institutions, and communities across Canada. Our hope is that this pilot will be a gathering of voices and perspectives, representing a wide range of WIL types, geographic locations, and post-secondary institutions of various sizes and mandates.
