Experiential Learning Community Liaison Coordinator

Reporting to the Director, YU Experience Hub, the incumbent supports faculty, new graduates, students, employers, community partners and internal units at York University by generating and enhancing employment opportunities for current students and new graduates. The Experiential Learning Community Liaison Coordinator works with the Experiential Education Coordinators to facilitate key employer partnerships, both in terms of cultivating skill development / employment opportunities and by advancing employer relationships with faculty.

Education:
A University Degree (ex. Business, Communications, etc.) plus training in outreach strategies, career development, experiential education and student advising or an equivalent of fiour (4) years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

Experience:
Two (2) years of relevant experience with sales and marketing, human resources, and/or recruiting, preferably in an educational setting that would include experience developing and managing relationships.

Skills:
Advanced knowledge of effective sales and relationship management practices.
Knowledge of recruitment, human resources, talent acquisition, on campus recruitment, the hiring cycle, and the sales cycle.
Knowledge of industry trends and labour market demands with strong business acumen.
Understanding of York University EL objectives, available networks and resources at York, with the ability to effectively refer employers, new graduates and students to the party that will be most Likely to meet their needs.
Solid computer competency including Microsoft Office, spreadsheet, database, web applications, social media, and internet search engines.
