Acadia seeks a Co-op Coordinator to liaise with employers to facilitate work terms for our students in co-op programs, as well as work directly with the co-op students to enable their success. This will be accomplished by preparing students for co-op work terms (providing personalized coaching and conducting professional development workshops on resume/cover letter preparation, job search strategies, interviewing skills, etc.) and seeking employers who can offer meaningful work-integrated learning experiences for students.
The successful applicant will act as liaison between students and employers, advertising student opportunities, submitting applications, arranging interviews and offers. The incumbent will monitor the students' progress and the relationship with the employers by reviewing and providing course assignment feedback/conducting work site visits, interceding to problem-solve as needed.
Ongoing relationship building with employers is necessary to maintain and increase the opportunities available for our students which may include networking with employers at events and via industry initiatives. The incumbent will also make employers aware of available funding programs.
