CEWIL Resource Hub: Mandatory Professional Practicums/Clinical Placements

Students participating in mandatory professional practicums gain work experience under the supervisor of an experienced registered or licensed professional (e.g. preceptor). These practicums or placements are typically linked to disciplines that require practice-based work experience for professional licensure or certification.

Practica are generally unpaid. Because the work is conducted in a supervised setting, students don't typically have their own workload or caseload.
