Round 1-2022: Call for Proposals for CEWIL’s Innovation Hub (iHub)
We are pleased to announce a call for project proposals for January-March 31, 2022 WIL experiences. The CEWIL iHub is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Innovative Work-Integrated Learning Initiative (I-WIL). CEWIL’s mission is to build the capacity to develop future-ready students through quality work-integrated learning. Over our almost 50 years of operations, we have been committed to quality WIL. We are excited to continue this initiative to bring innovation and expanded access to WIL for students across the country.
As you know, the CEWIL iHub will operate as a centre of expertise that provides grant-based funding to enable and promote curricular work-integrated learning (WIL). This call for proposals seeks to fund innovative WIL experiences from January to March 31, 2022. Furthermore, the funding will focus on supporting experiences in set priority regions: Quebec/Franco-Canada/French language projects, Atlantic Canada, and institutions who have not yet received iHub funding. Institutions who have already been funded in Central and Western Canada are encouraged to communicate with their Regional Associate Director or [email protected]. Finally, expanding access to WIL remains a priority and as such, a minimum of 20% of the funded iHub opportunities will be for under-represented students.
We will begin formally receiving applications today on our platform. We would also like to encourage you to review the application guide, updated FAQs and evaluation rubric for important information (available here). As in the previous rounds, we also invite you to join us in the upcoming formal presentations, ideas cafés, open office hours, or communicate with us at [email protected].
Finally, CEWIL is sharing this information with you as part of the greater WIL community and our hope is that you will once again share it widely with your colleagues within your organization (WIL professionals, faculty, Service-Learning professionals, Entrepreneurship Hubs, etc…).
Please visit our website for more information, including the applicant guide, FAQs and budget template. A reminder that proposals be will accepted starting today, until December 10, 2021 at 11:59 PM EST. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing what innovative WIL experiences we can support!
We thank you for joining our round three journey to ensure quality, innovative WIL experiences for Canadian students. We look forward to receiving your proposals.
Sincerely,
The CEWIL Canada iHub Team
